People Christian Church was founded by two women and two men of God. It all began as a spiritual movement of home-to-home prayer meetings in the City of Durham, North Carolina in the mid 1990’s. On December 19, 1999 these home-to-home prayer meetings were advanced into a formal church named People Christian Church. The vision of the founders of People Christian Church was to build a formal worship sanctuary to be the foundation and headquarters for all the ministries of the church. After years of Fasting and fervent prayers People Christian Church finally bought from foreclosure the church complex located at 2618-2620 Harvard Avenue, Durham, NC 27703.
Today, after nearly twenty years of gradual, successful ministry, People Christian Church has had seven ordained ministers on its Pastoral Board and ordained faithful men and women to serve as Deacons of the church. People Christian Church is now striving to Go into the world and make disciple of all men.
